Since 2024

who we are

30 strangers · 1 bus · zero awkward silences

Just the bus crew. Since 2024.

Our first trip, 2024

We started this because the alternative was a £200 day-trip booking with cold sandwiches and a coach driver who had no opinions about anything. We thought we could do better with friends, antakshari, and a sunset.

The first trip was Brighton, May 2024. Twelve of us. The driver said it was the loudest bus he'd ever driven. We've done about thirty trips since.

The format hasn't changed: pickup at midday, sunset at the destination, dinner somewhere with a view, return to London by midnight. The price stays accessible because we're not in this for the margin — we're in it for the bus singing.

— Our bus. Same thing, every weekend.

THE BUS CREW · SINCE '24 · 30+ TRIPS RUN

We're a small group of friends who started running weekend buses out of London King's Cross because the alternative was a £200 day trip with cold sandwiches and an awkward silence.

Now there are 30 of us on every bus. We pick up at midday, we play antakshari, we watch the sun go down somewhere with cliffs in it, and we get home around midnight. The price stays friendly. The window seats get fought over.

Questions we get a lot

honest answers.

  • no — but we'll be honest, the vibe is diaspora-first. Indian and South Asian travelers feel most at home, but we have plenty of friends-of-friends and curious folks join. nobody gets gatekept from a sunset.
A note from the bus crew

We started Sundara Travels because we missed the kind of group trip you do once and remember for a decade. The cousin's wedding road trip. The school excursion where someone always loses their wallet. The family pilgrimage where everyone fights about lunch.

That doesn't really exist for diaspora kids in the UK. So we made it.

If you've ever finished a trip and immediately said "let's do another one" — we'd love you on board.
